Accuplacer Algebra Test
The Accuplacer algebra test is one part of the Accuplacer exam. The algebra part of the Accuplacer contains twelve questions.
The algebra section of the Accuplacer covers the skills that you should have learned in a basic or introductory algebra class. Intermediate and advanced algebra problems are included in the College-Level Math section of the Accuplacer.
There are three main types of questions on the algebra section of the Accuplacer. The algebra questions fall into these three groups:
1) solving equations, inequalities, and practical problems
2) operations with algebraic expressions and formulas
3) equations with integers and rational numbers
Accuplacer algebra questions include linear equations and inequalities, factoring, basic geometry, quadratic equations, exponents, mononomials, polynomials, square roots, negative rationals, and absolute values.
