Accuplacer Algebra Test

The Accuplacer algebra test is one part of the exam. The elementary algebra part of the test contains twelve questions.

The algebra section of the test covers the skills that you should have learned in a basic or introductory algebra class. Intermediate and advanced algebra problems are included in the College-Level Math section of the exam.

There are three main types of questions on the algebra section of the Accuplacer. The algebra questions fall into these three groups:

1) solving equations, inequalities, and practical problems

2) operations with algebraic expressions and formulas

3) equations with integers and rational numbers

Accuplacer algebra questions include linear equations and inequalities, factoring, basic geometry, quadratic equations, exponents, mononomials, polynomials, square roots, negative rationals, and absolute values.
